Comparing the Flyers of 2015 and 2016

The Flyers of 2016 were haunted by the Ghosts of Fruitless Seasons Past.
The Philadelphia Flyers 2015-16 season may have ended on a sour note, but there are many positives to be taken from the campaign. For one, the Flyers were projected to be around an 85-point rebuilding team, but wound up finishing with 96 points and a playoff spot.

And while the result of that playoff series was a first-round loss, the Flyers played to the level of the Washington Capitals at even strength and took the best team in hockey to six down-to-the-wire games (mostly).
