3 Things: Flyers-Rangers

The Flyers and Rangers will face off on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 on CSN Philadelphia.

Fresh off of an emphatic 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, it is safe to say that the Philadelphia Flyers are outperforming everyone’s expectations at this point in time. The squad has won four games in a row, earned points in seven out of its last 10 contests, and is actually teasing a playoff spot (Philadelphia is only two points out of the playoff picture).
On the other hand, things couldn’t be going worse for the New York Rangers.

The Broadway Blueshirts have lost 16 out of their last 22 games and some Ranger fans would lead you to believe that the club is teetering on the brink of destruction.

Thus, the latest tussle between Broad Street and Broadway couldn’t come at a better time for either club. The Flyers are trying to show that they belong as a playoff contender and the Rangers are looking to get back on track after a difficult stretch of games.
